Daisy Thomas
No dog don’t wag your tail at me I’m crying
I need lots of money I need to jingle
walking down the street in my smartest shirt
so much money notes will rain
on everyone whose head I put my palm on
mansions for all the snails so
they don’t have to cart everything around
and the preparation for space travel won’t
be very intensive so everyone has time for a ride
some people will fly in a rocket ship
before they fly in an aeroplane
two fingers to westminster the whole way up
and smiling like parakeets
I’ll make everybody so happy they
won’t even consider getting a boyfriend
but they’ll enjoy the song Foundations
by Kate Nash just as much and
don’t worry I’ll abolish the police
and borders I’m not against violence
the world is my winter palace
the world is my circus
the world is my very large dining table
and everyone’s got one
a world and a dining table and
should I tell you what is bothering me,
really? It’s all the salt and vinegar crisps
I’ve been having it’s that the inside
of my mouth is peeling and my pee
it is so hot
