Co-Morbidity isn’t Death

It’s a body surprised
by its tolerance.
A tomato seed fallen
from the waste pipe
of the 7:34 train. Watered
by the same leak –
growing from urine,
growing from excess.
The same train arriving,
the same passengers
unknowingly keeping
this tiny plant alive.
